Teams, seats & invites

Invite people to build content with you, give them the right level of access, and move between the workspaces you belong to.

Seats are people, not screens

A seat is someone who logs in to edit. Screens never need a seat — they're billed separately.

Invite someone

  1. 1
Open Team in the sidebar.Only the owner and admins can invite.
  2. 2
Click Invite people, enter their email, and choose a role.
  3. 3
Click Send invite. They get an email with a link to join that's valid for 7 days.

Roles

  • Owner — full control and billing. The account creator; there's one owner.
  • Admin — manage members, content, and team settings.
  • Editor — create and edit content.
  • Viewer — view content only.

Seats

A seat is taken by the owner, each member, and every pending invitation. Plans include seats — Starter 1, Pro 3, Business 10 — and you can add extra seats for $4 each per month. Screens don't use seats. See Plans, billing & AI credits.

Switch workspaces

If you belong to more than one workspace — your own, plus any team you've joined — use the workspace switcher in the sidebar (your avatar menu) to move between them. Everything you see (screens, sequences, media) belongs to the workspace you're in. Solo accounts don't see the switcher.

A client is not a teammate

If you run signage for other businesses, the switcher lists them under a second heading: Workspaces is you and your colleagues, Clients is who you work for. Everything on this page is about the first kind. A client is a separate business — its own screens, its own brand, invisible to your other clients — and you add one from Clients in the sidebar, not by inviting them to your team. See Running signage for other businesses.

Transfer or leave

An owner can transfer ownership to another member — the previous owner becomes an admin. Members can leave a team from the Team page at any time.
