Generate images and video with AI

Select an image on a slide and a small toolbar floats above it. Generate opens an AI composer that swaps in a picture you describe — or, in Video mode, drops a short clip onto the same slide.

The image toolbar

Select a single image layer and a floating toolbar appears above it: Crop trims the picture, Replace swaps in a different file, Remove deletes the layer, and Generate opens the AI composer over the slide — which stays visible while you work.

Generate an image

    Select an image on the slide and click Generate.

    Type a prompt, or click Suggest from this slide.Suggest writes one from the slide's own text and colors, and leaves it editable so you can steer it.

    Attach reference images to steer style or subject.The slide's own pictures appear as thumbnails — tap to attach up to four, or use + to upload another.

    Pick a Model, and how many Versions to make.Best quality, Balanced or Fastest. Versions 1–4 produces that many variations from one prompt.

    Choose the one you like and click Use this image.Each version previews on the slide itself as you select it. Regenerate tries again; Back returns to the prompt.

Generate a video

The same composer has a Generation mode switch at the top — Image or Video. It's one dialog, not two features. Video mode adds a Starting frame: a picture from the slide that the clip animates out of, chosen for you when the slide has one. Remove starting frame generates from your words alone. You can pick Fast or Best quality.

Generate, and a placeholder appears on the slide: “Generating video… this can take a minute.” Close the composer and keep editing — the clip lands by itself. Then press Keep video or Discard.

What it costs

An image costs 3 AI credits, a video costs 10, and both are billed to the workspace owner's monthly pool. Images are charged per picture produced, so four Versions costs 12 credits, not 3. A video is charged the moment the job is queued — discard it, or let it fail, and the 10 credits are still spent. See Plans, billing & AI credits.

When it refuses

“Blocked by the content safety filter.”
Rephrase the prompt, or use a different reference image — crowds of recognizable people are often rejected.
“That took too long to generate.”
Video generation gives up rather than hanging. Try a simpler prompt, or the faster model.
“You're out of AI credits this month.”
The pool refills at the start of each month and doesn't roll over. A higher plan includes more.

Everything the AI makes is filed in your media library under AI Generated, so you can reuse a good picture instead of paying to generate it twice.
